SuperOliVe – Varietal renewal and sustainable management for olive growing in Veneto.
With more than 5,000 hectares, olive growing in Veneto is now in crisis due to extreme production alternation and reduced profitability of hillside systems. SuperOliVe, with PSR & Innovazione Veneto S.r.l. as lead partner, proposes the transition to an intensive and modern olive growing system.
Objectives:
- Introduce high-density varieties that are more productive and suitable for mechanization;
- Improve agronomic management with rationalized pruning and harvesting techniques;
- Strengthen the entire regional extra virgin oil supply chain;
- Support 62 olive farms with targeted advice and training.
The project takes a multidisciplinary and territorial approach, adapted to the soil and climate conditions of the Veneto region, and aims to strengthen the market for 100% Italian oil.
