SRG01 – AQUA – Innovation for Sustainable Water Use in the Veneto Prosecco System.

The AQUA project was officially approved by the Veneto Region under CSR 2023-2027 Cooperation – Intervention SRG01, winning a territorial competition thanks to a technical evaluation of excellence. This recognition testifies to the prestige of the proposal and its impact in fostering more sustainable and resilient viticulture.

PSR Innovazione Veneto, as project leader, coordinator and manager, is proud to lead this initiative that aims to address the growing need for efficient and conscious use of water resources in the vineyards of the Veneto Prosecco System. AQUA introduces advanced strategies, such as:

  • Rainfall harvesting: innovative techniques to conserve rainwater.

  • Design of storage reservoirs: evaluation and implementation of solutions to ensure water availability during critical periods.

  • Advanced soil management: targeted interventions to improve water retention and reduce wastage.
